Airtel launches 4G services in MP, Chhattisgarh

Telecom major Bharti Airtel today launched 4G services in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, offering its customers in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Raipur access to high-speed internet services.
Airtel's 4G services in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have been rolled out in the 1800 MHz (FD LTE) band, Airtel said in a statement.
It added that 10 Mhz of 1800 Mhz spectrum has been deployed to deliver a superior mobile broadband experience to customers.
"Airtel 4G will deliver fast mobile broadband speeds and enable customers to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images," it said.
Customers will be able to access 4G across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, 4G MiFi and dongles with value-for-money pre-paid and post-paid plans, the statement added.
Airtel also announced a new 4G offer for prepaid customers, allowing access to 10GB 4G data for Rs 249 with any new 4G handset they purchase.

With Rs 249 recharge, 1GB data will be instantly credited to customer's account, while the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by customers by sending the SMS 4G Offer to 52141.
Airtel will offer plans starting from Rs 1,199 with 4G data along with unlimited voice calls for STD, local and roaming for its postpaid customers.
Airtel had launched India's first 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012. With today's launch, Airtel 4G is now available in 18 circles across India.
Airtel's smaller rival Telenor India has also launched 4G services in Gaya and Muzaffarpur.
It has introduced special tariff vouchers with validity of one-day (Rs 11), 21 days (Rs 47) and 28 days (Rs 97) offering access to 4G data to the tune of 100MB, 500MB and 1GB respectively.
The Rs 97-voucher will offer local calls at 25 paise per minute and STD calls at 30 paise per minute. Gaya is the fifth city in Bihar and Jharkhand circle to go live with 4G services.
Prior to Gaya, Telenor had launched its 4G services in Hajipur, Ranchi, Hazaribag and Dhanbad in the last three months. Telenor offers 4G services across six circles.
