The All India Society for Electronics & Computer Technology (AISECT) has launched the fourth edition of its national level knowledge Olympiad-2014 to be held later this month.

The two-hour test will be based on multiple choice question format covering sections of general knowledge, reasoning ability, general science, numerical ability and computer knowledge, it said.
The students would be divided into three categories for the test - Group 1 with students from class 6th-8th, Group 2 from class 9th-12th and Group 3 of college students (UG/PG students).
"Through this Olympiad we intend to challenge the young minds of the country. The aim is to test the general knowledge, computer knowledge, reasoning and numerical ability of the learners," AISECT's director Siddharth Chaturvedi said.
Olympiads like this are crucial for the students of India to get a sense of the day-to-day knowledge about current events happening in India and the world. It will motivate them to further expand and strengthen their knowledge, the release added.
