AITUC Wednesday decided to hold a demonstration in the district headquarters of Tamil Nadu on July 16, protesting against what it termed as anti-labour and anti-people policies of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the state council of the AITUC here. The meeting was presided over by the AITUC state president and CPI MP K Subbarayan.
The demonstration would also be against the union budget which was 'against the common man and also labourers', AITUC sources said.
AITUC national secretary Vahida Nizam and its state general secretary T M Moorthy were among those who attended the meeting.
