AJSU Party to go it alone in assembly poll

AJSU Party, a part of the BJP-led coalition that had been ruling Jharkhand before President's Rule was imposed in January, today said it would not forge alliance with any party in the next state election.
AJSU Party chief Sudesh Mahto said whenever his party had joined the government since the creation of the state in 2000, "our sole intention was to provide stability to it in the absence of a clear majority to any political party".
"We would strive to garner support for clear majority to form a stable government in future...We will not tie up with any party in the next assembly election," he said at a meeting here.

Though there is a possibility of sharing seats with like-minded parties in the Lok Sabha election, Mahto said.
Earlier in the day, over 20 members of various political parties joined AJSU Party.
