"The state president, in a letter written to all district presidents and other office bearers, asked them to ensure that some of them should remain present there (at party office) between 10 am to 3 pm and meet people and take their applications, if any," SP spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury said.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has taken the decision with a view to better redress the problems of the people.
Once a grievance is noted, district presidents should talk to the authorities concerned and if in case the issue is not solved, then they should intimate the party headquarter from where it would be pursued, he said.
He has also asked party legislatures to give more time to party offices.
