Akhilesh makes surprise visit to village, inspects school

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today paid a surprise visit to Bhasinda village in Mohanlalganj area here to check ongoing development works, condition of schools and mid-day meals being served there.
At the village, covered under 'Lohia Gram Yojna' for development of villages, the Chief Minister interacted with locals and took stock of the development works in the area.
Yadav inspected the work at a building being constructed by the Housing Board.
At a primary school that he visited, the Chief Minister checked the standard of education and the state of computers there. To check the quality of the mid-day meal being served, he even tasted the food.

Taking exception to the standard of education, the Chief Minister directed the teachers in the school to improve it and instructed officials to ensure that benefits of all welfare schemes reached the people, according to an official release.
He also warned officials against any laxity, it added.
