In a bid to check the progress of development works being undertaken in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will carry out inspections from next month.
"The CM will start inspection of different divisions next month after September 10. The nodal officers appointed for the divisions have been asked to visit their respective districts and take stock of the situation in the field prior to the CM's visit," a spokesman said here today.
He said Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan has directed all officers to remain alert and prepared for the CM's tour and added that strict disciplinary action could be initiated against any laxity in this regard.
