Akhilesh writes to Centre seeking adequate foodgrains for UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today wrote to the Centre seeking that foodgrains be made available to the state in keeping with its vastness and population.
In his letter to Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, the chief minister also claimed that the allotment made by the Union government for UP was not in keeping with the norms.
Stating the details of the quantum of foodgrains that has to be provided to people under the National Food Security scheme and the request made in this regard to the Centre, Yadav claimed that the allotment made by the Union government was not in keeping with the norms.

Yadav requested the Union Minister to facilitate the necessary allotment so that foodgrains could be provided to the people as per the norms.
