Akhilesh Yadav has delivered on promises: Nagar

Rajya Sabha MP Surendra Singh Nagar today said the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has delivered on the promises he made in the run-up of the last elections by launching various welfare schemes.
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched several schemes for the welfare of people and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has fulfilled almost all the promises he had made in the run-up to the last election, he said at a function at Vikas Bhawan here.
"To make the state a part of 'Digital India' the government has distributed laptops to students in rural areas. Akhilesh Yadav has also announced that if the Samajwadi Party forms government again then it will distribute free smart-phones to those who have registered for it," Nagar said.
"To reduce response time of police in urban areas to 15 minutes and in rural areas to 20 minutes the state government has launched the 'Dial 100' scheme," he said.
Speaking on the occasion, District Magistrate N P Singh said the state government is taking initiatives to regularise electricity supply.
The Chief Minister had announced that from January 1 all district collectorates will get 24 hours power supply and rural areas 18 hours supply.
The DM also flagged-off three mobile veterinary clinic vans.
