Album choreographer arrested for cheating

The city police today arrested a choreographer and music director 'Bandit' Binay Sen alias Lubun from Abhinav Bidanasi here on charges of cheating, blackmailing and extortion of money from a lady artiste.
"Based on a written complaint filed by the girl's father, we have arrested the accused under sections 420 and 386 of IPC", said Markat Nagar Phase II police station inspector Anusuya Naik.
Police said they have also seized video cameras, cds, computers and mobile phones from the house of the accused and there is prima facie evidence against him.
Lubun of the famous Odia album maker group of 'Lubun-Tubun' was summoned by the police on Monday night and he was detained at the police station following receipt of the police complaint against him.

After quizzing him the whole night under detention, the accused was arrested today, police said.
Police said the accused allegedly threatened the complainant's 20-year-old daughter after developing a relationship with her.
Taking advantage of certain pictures of the girl, the accused allegedly blackmailed her by demanding money, police said.
