In one such incident at around 8.30 AM, a 42-year-old man tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a metro train at the down line of Shahid Kshudiram station and suffered leg injuries, Metro Railway officials said.
An alert motorman noticed it, applied the brakes and stopped the train, they said adding the man was rescued from the track later and was administered first aid by a Metro Railway doctor.
Normal metro services which were affected for 20 minutes, resumed at around 8.46 AM, the officials said.
Seeing this a RPF constable came down in the tunnel and drew attention of the motorman of an approaching train, risking his life.
The motorman stopped the train and the youth was rescued from the tracks with forehead injuries.
He was also administered first aid by the Metro Railway's doctor and subsequently sent to the state-run SSKM Hospital for further treatment. Metro services were affected for ten mintues due to the incident, the officials added.
