Alfa Romeo's appeal against the penalties they received at the German Grand Prix will be heard in Paris on September 24, the team announced on Friday.
Drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi finished the tumultuous rain-swept race seventh and eighth, but were subsequently handed 30-second penalties for technical infringements in their starting process that bumped them out of the top 10 and cost them their points.
"We have been penalised after the race and so we went for an appeal, which is the normal procedure if you think you have some strong arguments to win, otherwise you wouldn't do it," said Alfa Romeo sporting director Beat Zehnder.
"It's an ongoing process and I cannot give any more information. Everything will be disclosed on September 24 in Paris."
