All 26 booths in Nellithope constituency sensitive: DEO

All 26 polling stations in Nellithope assembly constituency, where a bypoll will be held on November 19, have been declared sensitive and steps have been taken to ensure peaceful polling, a senior official said.
District Election Officer (DEO) Satyendra Singh Dursawat said video cameras have been installed, as also the facility for web casting has been set up. Ten check posts have been set up at inter-state borders for checking vehicles.
In addition to Rs 45 lakh seized from a car coming from Tamil Nadu earlier in the day, Rs five lakh was seized from a man this evening, he said.
"We are investigating both the cases in cooperation with the Income Tax department," the officer said.
Dursawat said election campaign will end at 5 PM tomorrow and there will be restriction on movement of those who do not belong to the constituency.
Senior Superintendent of Police A K Gawas and SP S Venkatasamy said law and order situation was "comfortable".
In addition to local police, five companies of Central Reserve Police have been deployed in the constituency, they said.
