The tournament would held here from May 27.
Eight leading teams -- ONGC-Dehradun, Kerala State Electricity Board, ICF, Chennai, RCF, Kapurthala, Income Tax Chennai, North Frontier Railway, Guwahati, Kerala police and Coimbatore District Basketball Association (CDBA) -- will be vying for top honours during the tournament, R Palanisamy, Coimbatore District Basketball Association (CDBA) Vice President, told reporters here today.
Similarly, 15 CRI Pumps All India Basketball tournament for women will be held simultaneously, in which the reigning champions Chattisgarh State team, Bilaspur, runners-up KSEB, Kerala, Southern Railway, Chennai, SC Railway, Secunderabad, North Frontier Railway Guwahati, SEC Railway, Bilaspur, Central Railway Mumbai and CBDA, Palanisamy said.
Besides the trophy, the winners in men section will get Rs one lakh in cash and the runners-up will be awarded Rs 50,000 and Dr N Mahalingam trophy, while winners in women's category will get CRI Pumps Trophy and Rs 50,000 and runners Rs 25,000 and a trophy, Ashok said.
