Altogether 12 teams from different parts of the country will vie for the cup in the 14-day long tournament, which will be played in league-cum-knockout format under the aegis of Patliputra Art Culture and Sports Foundation, secretary of the organising committee Ashok Talpatra said.
Eight teams have been divided into two groups for qualifying round robin league matches. Top two teams from each group will enter the quarterfinals.
The Cup holders Bangalore District Football Association, ONGC (Mumbai), Army XI (Kolkata) and Nagpur Football Club (Nagpur) have been given direct entry into the quarterfinals.
The winner will take away a cash prize of rupees one lakh, while the runners-up will be given Rs 50,000 besides trophy.
The losing teams in the semifinal and quarterfinal will get Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 each respectively, Talpatra said.
