A total of 14 teams would vie for top honours. Besides reigning champions ONGC, runners-up Airport Authority of India, other prominent participating teams are Durand cup champions Air India, Food Corporation of India, Employees State Insurance Corporation, State Bank Of Travancore, Reserve Bank of India, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertlisers, Neyvali Lignites, NELCO, Garden Reach Kolkata and hosts Employees Provident Fund Organisation.
Participating teams have been divided into four groups. Top team of each group will qualify for the semi-finals to be played on November 6. The final is slated for November 8. Doordarshan will telecast the final match live.
Hosts Employees Provident Fund Organization will take on Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in the inaugural match on November 1.
