All un-maned level crossings in Ranchi division to be phased

All un-manned level crossings in the Ranchi Railway Division will be phased out by June next year.
Low or limited subways will be completed by September, 2018, and all the unmanned level crossings will be phased out by June, said senior railway officials.
"Gate Mitras" at all the UMLC (un-manned level crossing) gates will be introduced while regular public awareness campaign at schools, level crossing gates , road-shows, seminars and pamphlet distributions will also be introduced, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Ranchi Vijay Kumar Gupta said.
Gupta, ADRM (Infrastructure) A S Yadav, ADRM (Operation) Vijay Kumar, Divisional Material Manager Sumit Sinha and Senior Divisional Operational Manager Niraj Kumar gave the details of the railway service at a press meet.
GPS tracker is being provided to all patrol teams in current year to monitor night patrolling for rail-fracture detection.
Besides taking initiatives for passenger amenities, CCTV facility is available at Ranchi and Muri stations for better security and cleanliness monitoring. It will soon be available at Hatia station under Nirbhaya Fund.
High speed WiFi Service has been installed at Ranchi Station.
