The women from diffrent cities and varying backgrounds like consulting, furnishings, interior design, bags manufacture, corporate world, arts management etc, would undertake the three day visit to Sri Lanka, Indian High Commission said here.
The aim is to strengthen economic and cultural cooperation between India and each of the SAARC countries, through a unique all-women platform and perspective.
The women delgation from the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) aims to "meet as many women entrepreneurs and leaders from Sri Lanka from diverse fields like trade and investment, politics, media, arts, public health and well-being, science and technology, environment, academia and peace," Harbeen Arora, President, Creative Living Foundation, who leads the delegation, said.
The visit comes closely on the heels of the successful 'India investrade' mission which concluded last week.
The visit generated business inquiries worth over USD 70 million, the Indian High Commission said. PTI CORR YB ns YB
