Allahabad hottest in UP at 43.8 degrees Celsius

Allahabad was the hottest place in Uttar Pradesh today with a maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius, five degrees above normal.
The maximum temperature recorded in the capital city was 40.9 degrees, while the minimum temperature settled at 23.9 degrees Celsius.
According to the meteorological department, sky would remain clear in and around Lucknow, and the weather is likely to remain dry across the state.
Among other places in the state, Jhansi recorded a maximum temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius, four degrees above normal. Kanpur saw a high 42.2 degrees Celsius, it added.
