According to police, the 10-year old Imran has sought a lift from Ganesan, who instead of dropping him at his place, allegedly kidnapped and demanded rs.10,000 as ransom from his parents for the release, two days ago.
After making fervent appeal, parents reportedly handed over Rs.5,000 and got the son released, they said.
Based on the inputs given by the parents, police today nabbed Ganesan and taken for interrogation, police added.
