Almond and its kernel ended lower at the wholesale market today owing to slackened demand from retailers and stockists.
However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said low demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on almond and its kernel prices.
In the national capital, almond (California) declined by Rs 100 to Rs 18,200 per 40 kg, while its kernel edged down by Rs 5 to Rs 635-655 per kg.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 18,200 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 635-655 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg.
