Almond, its kernel up on festive demand

Almond and its kernel prices firmed up at the wholesale dry fruits market in the national capital today on rising demand from retailers, driven by ongoing festive season.
However, other dry fruits traded in a narrow range on scattered buying or selling and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said increased demand retailers in view of festive season mainly led to rise in almond and its kernel prices.
Almond (California) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 23,250 per 40 kg, while its kernel edged up by Rs 5 to Rs 800-825 per kg.

Almond (California) Rs 23,250, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,600-11,100; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 7,100-7,300; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-20,000.

Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 800-825 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 850-880 per kg.
