"We expect a 15-20% growth in sales in the next three years, compared to 10-15% growth over the last few years," Alstom T&D India commercial head for network management solution Rohit Poddar told PTI here over the weekend.
He also said the proposed smart cities and smart grids will also be a good opportunity for his company.

"Though our sales have not increased to the levels we expect, we still continue to be the leaders in the sector. We expect new power projects will come on stream in the next few years which will lead to an increase in demand for our products and services to strengthen the transmission and grid systems," he added.
The company's net sales for FY14 stood at Rs 3,523.54 crore compared to Rs 3,151.87 crore, registering a growth of 12%.
The company is a leading player in power transmission business with a product portfolio ranging from medium voltage to extra high voltage (765 kV) for the utility, industry and infrastructure markets and also designs and manufactures equipment and engineered turnkey solutions to manage power grids.
Alstom's order book stood at Rs 6,462.2 crore as on March 31.
"With the formation of the new government, we are optimistic that actions will be taken to revive the economy through higher capital expenditure in utilities, power generation, industry and infrastructure. This augurs well for our prospects," Alstom T&D India chairman TS Vishwanath said in the company's annual report.
