Aluminium edges up on scattered demand

Aluminium prices were up by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on mild demand from consuming industries amid firm global cues.
However, other base metals held steady in thin trade.
Traders said some demand from consuming industries and a report of firm trend overseas mainly led to the rise in aluminium prices.
In the national capital, aluminium ingots, sheet cutting, wire scrap and utensils scrap were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 155, Rs 151, Rs 151 and Rs 149 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 94-100, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 832-837, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 364, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 70, lead imported Rs 76, aluminium ingots Rs 155, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 151, aluminium wire scrap Rs 151 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 149.
