Falling for the second straight day, aluminium prices were down 0.17 per cent to Rs 117.35 per kg in futures trading today as traders engaged in reducing their positions on the back of subdued demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December weakened by 20 paise, or 0.17 per cent to Rs 117.35 per kg in business turnover of 153 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in January shed 15 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 117 per kg in 17 lots.
Market analysts said, trimming of positions by participants due to weak demand from consuming industries at domestic spot markets, mainly kept aluminium prices lower at futures trade.
