Aluminium futures rise 0.18% as demand picks up

Aluminum prices were up by 0.18 per cent to Rs 113.70 per kg in futures trade today as participants enlarged their positions, taking positive cues from spot market on uptick in demand from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminum for delivery in November month edged up by 20 pause, or 0.18 per cent to Rs 113.70 per kg in business turnover of 104 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in October month contracts traded higher by 15 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 113.40 per kg in 153 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by traders backed by upsurge in demand from consuming industries at the spot market, mainly led to rise in aluminum prices at futures trade.
