At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in August traded higher by 10 paise, or 0.09 per cent to Rs 109.65 per kg in a business turnover of 183 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in September contracts edged up by 5 paise, or 0.05 per cent to Rs 110.55 per kg in 47 lots.
Analysts said increasing of positions by traders on the back of uptick in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, helped aluminium prices to trade higher at futures trade.
