Aluminium prices edged higher by 0.23 per cent to Rs 155.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh positions after pick up in demand at the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June edged up by 35 paise, or 0.23 per cent to Rs 155.60 per kg in business turnover of 147 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in July was trading higher by 30 paise, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 155.50 per kg in 7 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by participants due to uptick in demand from industries in the physical market mainly attributed the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade.
