Aluminium futures were marginally up by 0.38% at Rs 118 per kg today amid a rising demand at spot markets and a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in February moved up by 45 paise, or 0.38%, to Rs 118 per kg, with a business turnover of five lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in January traded higher 15 paise, or 0.11%, at Rs 117.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 143 lots.
Marketmen said apart from rising demand at spot markets, a firming trend at global markets influenced aluminium futures here.
