Aluminium fell 0.38 per cent to Rs 105.10 per kg in futures trade today after traders reduced their exposure due to sluggish demand at the domestic spot market and a weak trend overseas.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July month eased 40 paise, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 105.10 per kg in a business turnover of 4 lots.
The metal for delivery in June contracts fell by 30 paise, or 0.29 per cent to trade at Rs 104.20 per kg in 161 lots.
The weakness in aluminium futures trading is mostly due to fall in demand from consuming industries at the domestic market and weakness in the base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange as Chinese manufacturing data painted a picture of lackluster growth in the world's second-largest economy.
