Gushing she loved everything about this city, the 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' actor Vidya Balan says the ethnic-hued Kolkata never fails to intrigue her.
"I consider myself a Bengalee. There is this unmistakable vibe of familiarity I sense whenever I arrive here, of coming to my own place, Vidya said.
"Apart from my fetish for your 'misti', the 'mitha buli' (dialect) which I am trying to master, I am very much drawn towards your designerwear which has the touch of ethnic contemporariness," Vidya said at a bridal wear collection.
The 'Parineeta' actor referred to the name 'Palki', to bring home the point about how "A city like Kolkata would always honour its treasured past by naming its ventures after now-extinct vehicles like the Palanquin."
About the 'side effects' of her one year married life, Vidya said, "I am passing through a happy phase and has been experiencing good side effects till now. And the bridal collections here make you feel proud as a woman," she said.
The 'Padma Shree' recipient said about Farhan Akhtar in 'Shaadi'.. "We had a ball while shooting."
Vidya epitomises womanhood, in each and every sense, before and now and we would love to drape her in future, in real or reel-like situations, a Palki spokesperson said.
