The 'Hairspray' star took to her Twitter page to tell followers she is no longer in contact with her parents, Lynn and Rick, after they allegedly went public with their concerns for the actress, reported Ace Showbiz.
"I don't speak to my parents anymore, they don't talk to reporters on my behalf. Don't believe anything you read about me unless I tweet it. My friends don't speak on my behalf either. Please don't read anything about me needing help. That offends me," Bynes posted.
It is believed the 27-year-old was responding to a new tabloid article suggesting the Bynes were "very upset" about recent reports on their daughter's mental health.
