Amarinder expresses shock, grief at tragic train derailment

Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh today expressed shock and grief at the tragic loss of lives in the train accident involving the Patna-Indore Express in Kanpur.
In a statement issued here, he expressed deep pain and extended his sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims of the train derailment, which occurred in the wee hours of the morning.
Over 100 people were killed and more than 200 injured when 14 coaches of the Indore-Patna Express derailed near Pukhraya in Kanpur dehat district.
Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu has ordered a probe into the tragedy and announced ex-gratia for the families of the victims.
