Congress leader Amarinder Singh today warned Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal against pursuing "Panthic and Khalistani agenda" in Punjab.
The way Badal was advancing towards the divisive agenda he will soon end up saying, "panth is in danger", Singh alleged.
Taking a jibe at Badal for accusing him of attempts to create a wedge between SAD and BJP, Amarinder said, "Why are you (Badal) feeling so insecure and why should I create a wedge between you and BJP. But they will eventually have to part ways as you have embarked on a Panthic and Khalistani agenda (separate sikh homeland)."
The Congress Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha was addressing a public rally at Bhadson grain market organised by local MLA Sadhu Singh Dharamsot near here.
Warning the CM against adopting "Panthic" agenda, he said, Punjab had been through worse as it had seen a dark decade of violence and bloodshed because of which the state stopped growing and industry was reluctant to come over here.
Creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity will only discourage industry and investors from investing in Punjab, he said.

Amarinder said that there was total collapse of police and security system in Delhi, in the aftermath of the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi (on October 31, 1984) which led to killing of thousands of innocent Sikhs.
He said, he had visited Delhi immediately and had personally seen the death and devastation there.
Lashing out at the CM for his divisive agenda, Amarinder said, for the sake of power he (Badal) can resort to anything.
"Just to throw away Hindu majority areas out of the state, Badal and others launched Punjabi Suba movement in order to get power," he observed, adding in the process Punjab lost forest and hydraulic resources of Himachal Pradesh and industrial hubs to Haryana.
Responding to Badal's demand for listing the achievements when he was the CM of Punjab, Amarinder said that he had already listed it to him in twice.
"More than that, people of Punjab know who saved their waters, who lifted their produce on time, who provided them jobs and electricity and who got them maximum price for their land", the former CM asserted.
Amarinder added that not only will he list all his achievements, but will hold Badal in the dock and ask him what Badal had promised and what he has actually done for Punjab.
