Ambassadors to five countries called on Punjab Governor V P Singh Badnore and held discussions on various issues.
The delegation discussed various issues, including education, agriculture and horticulture, food processing, tourism and environment, an official spokesman said.
Issues such as stubble burning and fake agents sending people illegally to these countries were also discussed, the spokesman said.
The delegation included Manjeev Singh Puri, Ambassador of India to Nepal, Navdeep Singh Suri, Ambassador of India to UAE, Sanjeev Arora, Ambassador of India to Lebanon, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Ambassador of India to Sri Lanka, and Reenat Sandhu, Ambassador of India to Italy.
The discussions were "fruitful", the spokesman said adding the prospects of exchanges and collaborations between these countries and Punjab and Chandigarh were also discussed in the meeting.
