Ambedkar remembered on 58th death anniversary

Remembering Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 58th death anniversary, Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel today said the ensuring social justice is still the challenge before the society.
"The challenge of completing the work of social justice started by Babasaheb is still a challenge before the society. Until the objective of social justice is not achieved, political, economic justice cannot be realised," Goel said.
Goel alongwith the party's chief ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan paid floral tributes to Babasaheb.

Meanwhile, paying tribute, Punjab Assembly Speaker Charnjit Singh Atwal describing Babasaheb Ambedkar as a "great son of India".
"We should liberate his soul from the bondage of Dalit belongingness. Whatever he has done, he had done it for the society as a whole and not the Dalits alone...

"His concerns is no less significant in other fields like economy, polity, secularism and foreign relations which need to be highlighted," he said at a rally here to make the leader's anniversary.
It should, therefore, be the duty to create awareness among every Indian to realise the amount of respect he deserved and bestow all possible honours to him, Atwal said.
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was the chairman of the drafting committee which formulated the Indian Constitution and in 1990 he was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, country's highest civilian honour. He died on December 6, 1956 at the age of 65.
