"Babasaheb Ambedkar deserves the Nobel Prize. He should be honoured the way Dr Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela were," Paswan told PTI here.
"From today, it will be my mission to ensure that Ambedkar gets the Nobel Prize for the tremendous work he did to uplift the poor and downtrodden," he said.
Paswan, founder and chief of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), said his party workers will undertake a campaign to ensure maximum public awareness and participation in the campaign to bestow the Nobel Prize on Ambedkar.
The Union minister, who was in Mumbai today to attend the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) conference, said corporate houses should encourage Dalit entrepreneurs.

"Encouraging one Dalit entrepreneur means helping create 10 jobs for Dalits," he said.
Paswan said the government will support DICCI chief Milind Kamble's mission of creating lakhs of Dalit entrepreneurs.
Paswan reiterated his demand for reservations for backward classes in the private sector.
