The government would create a fund of Rs 200 crore to support entrepreneurs in the region, Banerjee announced at a business summit "North Bengal Business Summit-2015" here.
She said that the government had improved the power situation and road communication in the region.
Referring to the steps taken up by her government for speedy implementation of the investment proposals, she said "We have set up a Unique Clearance Centre. A branch has been established today at Uttarkanya".
"We want Bengal to move forward. We need your help and cooperation," she requested the industrialists present at the meet held at "Uttarkanya", the North Bengal Branch of the secretariat.

The North Bengal Development Department organised the summit which, according to North Bengal Development Minister Gautam Deb, was attended by a large number of traders and industrialists and representatives of the chambers of commerce of seven north Bengal districts.
The chief minister also promised to rejuvenate the tea industry.
She criticised a section of the media for showing the state in a bad light.
"Some media houses have negative attitude. They only show bad news 24X7," Banerjee said.
"We do not support the politics of Bandh. We do not believe in destructive politics", the chief minister said.
The state minister for finance and industry Amit Mitra, chief secretary Sanjay Mitra and secretaries associated with medium small micro enterprises (MSME), transport, tourism, power and other departments attended the summit.
