The employees, under the banner All Migrant Employees Association of Kashmir (AMEAK), have been on a sit-in-protest at Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner's office here for the last 106th days and are seeking "guaranteed safety and security in Kashmir and release of pending salaries".
All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC), which is supporting the employees, said it would resort to "nationwide agitation if the government tries to make Kashmiri pandit employees as scapegoats even as the schools were being burnt down and administration has failed to protect the locals of the Valley".
