Amee Kamani, Vidya Pillai qualify for World 6Red Snooker
Press Trust of India New Delhi Indian cueists Amee Kamani and Vidya Pillai stood first and second respectively in their camp to qualify for the World 6Red Snooker championship to be held in Karachi in August this year.
Amee looked unstoppable as she beat Chitra M, Neena Praveen and Umadevi, but was finally done in by Judy Walia. But the left-handed cueist from Indore had done enough to finish on top of Camp Z and qualify for the event.
The Chennai-born Vidya though had to pull out of the final round of matches due a back ache but had done enough till then to secure a second spot in the overall Camp rankings.
Amee and Vidya will also represent India in the World Snooker Championship to be held in November after the duo booked their respective berths in the IBSF camp a couple of days back.
