Students from Carlson School of Management of University of Minnesota and professionals from various companies in America visited Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti here to see the manufacturing and marketing process of Jaipur Foot.
Addressing the delegation, the Samiti's founder D R Mehta said the Jaipur Foot was a boon to those who cannot afford the expensive composite carbon fibre variants.
"Jaipur Foot is available for just Rs 2,500 unlike the expensive prosthetic legs available in America. If the US government extends support, we would be more than willing to provide Jaipur Foot to those who do not have medical insurance and cannot afford expensive artificial limbs," Mehta said.
