BJP Goa president Sadanand Tanavade on Sunday asked people to come pout and vote during the March 22 Zilla Parishad polls and to not be afraid of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
He accused the opposition Congress of spreading fear among the people about the outbreak, and claimed polling booths were "well ventilated".
He said the BJP was well placed to come up with a good performance in the ZP polls.
He said the Congress was raking up the Mahadayi water dispute but it would not have any effect on the voters.
"Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Prime Minister Narendra Modi a couple of days ago. The PM has assured that status quo will be maintained on Mahadayi till the Supreme Court gives its final verdict," he claimed.
