"The peppy, romantic song with a retro feel will take back the listeners to the melody of 70s and 80s," the singer, completing 50 years in the entertainment industry, said after recording the track at Kilasa Studio in Mumbai.
"It was a conscious effort to take back the listener's to the golden era of music, which has got reflected in the tune as well as in the lyrics of this song. We have thoughtfully kept the soundscape extremely modern," said music directors Munna-Raj.
Munna-Raj had earlier composed Bengali non-film albums with Amit Kumar, Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu, and their last album, Phele Asha Din, was a big hit.
The lyrics have unique Kolkata connection and resonate with Bengali sensibilities being penned by friend-brother poet Sreeraj MItra with the instrumental acoustics part by Pancham's team member Shyam Raj and Prem Sodha.
"While releasing the song in the digital platform on Amitji's birthday, we wish to launch a music video in the near future to be accessible on YouTube," Asha Audio Director Mahua Lahiri said.
