Speaking on the sidelines of "Zindagi EK Safar - A Tribute to Kishore Kumar", the talented playback singer recalled how he used to accompany father and S D Burman and later Pancham R D Burman to the 'Metro' auditorum during night shows of western musicals.
"I still recall that evening in 1959 when me, father and SD went to Metro for watching David Lean's 'The Bridge On River Kwai. And during the screening as we sat engrossed, the duo were seen exchanging notes. It was more of a sign language, father looked at him and he nodded.
There was numerous such instances involving Sachinkarta and father and later on Pancham of imbibing the unique and fresh notes from western tracks which will later on bring out haunting melodious score, with his voice, Amitkumar, said after the Big FM memorial.
"It is more than Baba sharing positive vibes which put to perfection blending musical notes from the west and all over the world into ours and something incredible would come out."

But when he scored the notes and Kishorekumar brought the lyrics to life there was something truly original.
"The Singh Nei Tobu Naam Tar Singho is one truly original song Baba put to life but again derived from his rich musical repertoire of world music, " he said.
"We are looking forward to creating unique retro-listening experience with Kishore goldies across various age groups," a 92.7 Big FM spokesman said.
