BJP president Amit Shah will address three rallies in poll-bound Uttarakhand as part of the party's 'Parivartan Yatra', scheduled to begin on November 12 to galvanise party cadres and generate public opinion against the Congress-led Harish Rawat government.
Announcing the revised schedule of the yatra, state BJP chief Ajay Bhatt said it will formally begin on November 12 and will be flagged off beyond Dehradun by Shah after addressing a rally here on November 13.
Shah will address two more rallies in the state during the course of the yatra, one in Almora on November 22 and the other in Haldwani on December 7, he said.
Conceived as a "preparatory exercise" ahead of the Assembly elections next year, the yatra will help party cadres gear up for the polls and convince the people to get rid of a corrupt government, Bhatt said.
Besides accusing SP and BSP of not giving enough attention
to the development of the state, Shah also mocked at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for his promise to farmers that he will help set up 'potato factories' in the state.

"Rahul Baba does not know that potato grows in soil and farmers of Mainpuri, Saifai and Etawah do not need a factory to cultivate it. What they need is a factory to make potato chips and it will be set up by BJP," he said.
Stressing that Modi government was working for development of the state and was launching several schemes, Shah said the "fasal bima yojna" has not been able to succeed in the state as there is a dispute over commission between "chacha-bhatija" because of which even the agency has not been finalised.
Noting that Modi government was sending Rs one lakh crore a year to UP, Shah said, "Nothing will come your way as it will all be eaten up by chacha-bhatija and even if something is left over it will be gobbled by Azam Khan."
Seeking support of people for BJP the way they extended in 2014, Shah said his party will provide good governance and law and order like the time when Kalyan Singh was the chief minister.
Claiming that his party will get two-third majority in the coming assembly polls, Shah asked BJP workers to resolve to end the "gondagardi" of SP and BSP and ensure that development became the order of the day with good employment opportunities for the youth.
Referring to state BJP chief Keshav Prasad Maurya's speech in which he had said that goondas will not be allowed to take over polling booths in the coming elections, Shah said though Central forces will be deployed, youths associated with the party will take a vow not to let anti-social elements to come out of their homes.
Shah also referred to the martyrdom of a local youth Nitin Yadav recently on the border.
