"The national president would review the programme in Kanpur on July 11. National general secretary (organisation) Ramlal ji will also be present at the meeting," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here.
He said that around two crore people were registered as would-be members through phones during membership drive.
During the mass contact programme party workers would visit homes of these would-be members to physically verify them and ask them to fill membership form for official enrollment.
Pathak said the first leg of the programme was carried out between June 16 to June 20.
"The second phase will be launched on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee on July 6 and will continue till July 10," he said.
After the party president's review on July 11 the mass contact programme would start again, for which the dates are still not decided, and continue till July 31.
