Bachchan, 72, is currently shooting in Kolkata for his upcoming film and met the crazy fan while he visited an institution near his shooting location.
"I think the person with the 'Amitabh' scripted all over him has a problem... I think he has an ailment and he needs help...
"I saw him in the crowd trying to attract my attention, but security was too tight... I shall investigate and see if I can be of some assistance... He gave some documents to security of his medical examinations... I must see them...," Bachchan posted on his blog.
"I pay respects to those that suffer the uncomfortable wait for us through the day and night ... It is essential that I do... They are, will be and shall always be them that create and make us...," he added.
