Amy Adams stars in 'Arrival' trailer

Actress Amy Adams is humanity's ambassador to an alien race in the first extended teaser for "Arrival".
"Blade Runner 2" director Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi thriller imagines an alternate future where alien ships suddenly land all across the earth on one single day.
With no actual clues whether the aliens come in peace or war, the US government brings in language expert Louise Banks (Adams) to communicate with these beings.
Louise is thrust into a race against time, as rogue governments threaten to start a violent conflict before the aliens can strike first.
"Arrival" is based on writer Ted Chiang's "Story of Your Life", the groundbreaking and Hugo Award-nominated 1999 short story.

Joining Adams in the ensemble cast are "Avengers" star Jeremy Renner and Rogue One's Forest Whitaker, as US government workers ordered to figure out the aliens' true intentions.
"Arrival" will release on November 11.
