Tragic singer Amy Winehouse's mother Janis is to going to do a parachute jump to mark her daughter's 30th birthday in September.
Janis, 58, will perform a parachute jump on September 29 to raise money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, reported Contactmusic.
Besides making money for good causes, Janis - who is divorced from Amy's father Mitch, also wants to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which she suffers from.
"When I was asked about taking part in the parachute jump I just said, 'Why not?' That's my general outlook on life. Life is short, live it! This is important to me as it will not only raise funds and awareness for the Foundation, but also will let people know that having MS doesn't need to stop you doing anything you want," she said.
Janis' parachute jump will be part of a month's worth of celebrations - titled Amys 30 - taking place in September to remember Amy, who tragically died in July 2011 aged just 27.
News reader Jon Snow will sing some of Amy's songs at a karaoke-style event being held at the Gilgamesh restaurant and bar in Camden, north London, on September 13 - the evening before Amy's birth date.
Snow, who is a patron of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, will be joined by other star guests such as Mica Paris and David McAlmont at the event.
There will be a host of other events and tributes held in Camden - where Amy lived - including the opening of an Amys 30 Pop Up shop selling limited edition merchandise and an Amy Walking Tour of Camden.
