An actor should act in all kinds of films: Srabonti

Buoyoed over the critical acclaim to her role in 'Goynar Baksho', popular actor Srabonti is hopeful about 'Buno Hans', another arthouse film.
"Tonyda (Aniruddha Roy Choudhury) is a sensitive director, giving a lot of space to women characters," Srabonti, earlier known to be a heroin of masala gharana, said about shifting to different genres of film.
Shooting for Aniruddha's Bunohans will start this November.
The bubbly actor, who believes an actor's repertoire should include all kinds of films, said the genres are slowly merging in Bengali films on the lines of Bollywood.
Srabanti, who became the face of a renowned confectionary brand this Durga Puja, said she liked Vidya Balan's role in Kahaani, where Durga Puja served as a backdrop.
"Like every Bengali Puja means a lot to me, memories flood about pandal hopping with friends. I miss those days," Srabanti, who hail from Behala area of the city, said.
"Happy to be their brand ambassador during this festive season," Srabonti said for being the face of confectioners major Parle Products.
"Srabanti is highly popular and cuts across all age groups. She emanates strong Bengali values as a dignified woman achiever. Parle has chosen her to promote the brands which will help to build an emotional connect with the people including movie goers in Bengal of youth and other age groups," a senior official said.
